About
Mass Theory was originally founded in early 2001 by childhood friends, vocalist Tim Messier and guitarist Mark Roy as a song writing duo under the moniker “Scenic Route”. In 2004 Josh, Tim’s brother, joined the band on drums solidifying the core of the band. In 2009 the band’s name was changed to “Mass Theory” with the addition of Pat Collier on guitar cementing their style and sound.
